On Tuesday 17 July, the redevelopment plans for the current wok restaurant location (Stationsweg 101) and a number of adjacent plots were presented in the council chamber of the Heerhugowaard town hall. The first designs were shown and there was an opportunity to ask questions.

Behind the station is Heerhugowaard's oldest business park, here and there wear spots have appeared, while at the same time great opportunities arise!
By building more around the stations, we are responding to the great need for housing and more sustainable transport in North Holland. At the same time, we don't have to build up as many pastures, creating vibrant and safe living and working areas around the stations.
That is why the municipality of Heerhugowaard started making future dreams for the station area, the Heerhugowaard and Langedijk junction years ago.
In 2013, the 'Stationspark Heerhugowaard' structural vision was approved by the city council.
A wonderful master plan is now being developed to make this dream come true step by step.
The structural vision and master plan were drawn up together with Heerhugowaarders. There are a number of entrepreneurs from Heerhugowaard and the region who have taken up the challenge to give concrete substance to the beautiful visions of the future.
