John Stanley
John Stanley is an internationally recognised consultant, author and speaker with almost 50 years of experience in the garden centre and retail industries. He has advised businesses in more than 35 countries and has written numerous books on garden retailing, customer experience and business development.
Based in Western Australia, John combines his international consultancy work with hands-on entrepreneurship. Together with his wife, Linda, he operates an award-winning sweet chestnut farm and agritourism business. His global experience gives him a unique perspective on changing consumer behaviour, retail innovation and the future of independent garden centres.
Sid Raisch
Sid Raisch is a leading garden centre consultant and strategic thinker based in California. He has worked with independent garden centres across the United States for many years, helping owners challenge conventional thinking, improve profitability and prepare their businesses for the future.
Sid is known for asking the difficult questions that encourage entrepreneurs to look at their businesses differently. He and John Stanley have presented workshops together throughout the United States on numerous occasions. Dries Jansen
Dries Jansen is the founder and owner of GardenCenterAdvice, an international consultancy based in the Netherlands. He specialises in garden centre development, store optimisation, market and location analysis, retail design, routing and assortment strategy.
With extensive experience in both horticulture and retail, Dries approaches a garden centre as more than simply a place where products are sold. He sees it as a garden, a park and an experience centre in which greenery, commercial performance and customer experience come together.
Dries works with garden centre entrepreneurs, greenhouse builders, architects, shopfitters and specialist suppliers to develop integrated and practical solutions. His international experience includes projects across Europe, North America and the Middle East—from Iceland to Dubai.
