Pokon's roots

Everyone knows Pokemon. That is not surprising, because Pokon has been around since 1929. The green bottle with the yellow cap has been part of almost every household for years. In 1929, Herman Pieter Bendien developed the first Pokon formula together with the then Rijkstuinbouw consultant Ir. Bloemsma. The name Pokon is directly related to this formula, as it stands for the chemical composition P2O5 - K2O - N2. Also called phosphorus (P), Potassium (K) and Nitrogen (N). Over the years, Pokon has expanded considerably and that is why we can offer you various beautiful products, such as grass seed and potting soil. As real green geeks, we have always continued to develop. Our roots now extend far beyond the Netherlands.

Product development

Pokon started as a powdered product, which was a huge success. Many other companies wanted to be as successful as Pokon, but with the help of daring advertising campaigns for that time, Pokon emerged victorious time and time again from the tough competition. To stay ahead, we invest in research and developing new products to this day. Effectiveness and convenience are key words here.

Pokon is the consumer brand of the company Pokon Naturado from Veenendaal. In 2008, Pokon split off from Pokon Chrysal from Naarden and merged with Naturado. Pokon Naturado is the market leader in the field of potting soil, fertilizers, crop protection and pesticides and grass seed on the Dutch consumer market.
